Community Doula Program
Community Doula Program is a peer-to-peer community effort to educate and nurture expectant youth in disadvantaged neighborhoods. The mission of the CDP is to improve the overall health of mother and child by cultivating a network of peer young mothers who provide each other education, hands-on assistance and support during pregnancy, birth, breastfeeding and early motherhood. In doing so, the CDP naturally fosters a sense of self-worth, confidence and personal responsibility among young mothers and their immediate community.
